RFC 2324 defines the Hyper Text Coffee Pot Control Protocol. HTCPCP is built on top of HTTP, implementing a range of new headers and errors (418 I’M A TEAPOT) that enable the intercommunication of networked coffee pots. Manufacturers, take note — standards-compliance grows the market.

I’m not sure that there’s really a big market for a graphical Git client, but if there is, Tower might fill it. The UI’s lovely, and it’s free to try out while the project’s in beta.¹

This would probably redundant for developers, who most likely already have a terminal open and know the guts of git, but a drop-dead simple VCS interface might be really handy for a lot of designers, writers, and other media/creative types who regularly revise files. There’ve been some stirrings from that community lately regarding git, so I think there’s potential there. Tower and other extant GUIs might be overkill for most people, though, despite their comparatively lovely interfaces. There could be a market for a non-technical VCS, something with a sufficiently-well-chosen sub-set of git’s functionality and the UI of Time Machine. Someone who knows Cocoa should go build that. =)

Readability is a script/bookmark that cleans up online content. It’s very convenient if you regularly read blocks of text online. I’ve been using it for a few months now, and I’ll testify that it makes reading on a screen much more pleasant.

There are a bunch of blogs like this. It’s as if the people creating them passed through that stage of ironic, postmodern self-commentary and just started writing haikus about Godzilla because it’s intrinsically an awesome thing to do. I feel like there should be some cultural-theoretical term for this kind of content (“ADD-fuel” doesn’t count).

I’m not very good at drawing, so I started a draw-something-every-day-until-I-get-better blog. It’s pretty new, but it’s got a few doodles and wallpapers.
