PAGAD

So, apparently there is (or at least was) a vigilante group in South Africa called the People Against Gangsterism And Drugs. They began as a sort of neighborhood-watch group, but gradually evolved into a gang themselves.

It’s really a shame that things like this aren’t in wide use. People in the past had such romantic ideas about the future…

Incestuous Linking

Incestuous linking occurs when a number of sites all link to each other in order to increase their search engine rankings. Sensible search engines (Google, for example) filter out these “incestuous” links.

The Nattering Nabobs Of Negativity

Agnew was known for his tough criticisms of political opponents, especially journalists and anti-Vietnam War activists. He was known for attacking his opponents with unusual, often alliterative epithets, some of which were coined by White House speech-writers William Safire and Pat , including “nattering nabobs of negativism” (written by Safire), “pusillanimous pussyfooters”, and “hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history”. He once characterized a group of opponents as “an effete corps of impudent snobs who characterize themselves as intellectuals.”
